Bobby Alger

Bobby Alger serves as founding and lead pastor of Crossroads Community Church, located in Winchester, VA. His wife, Wanda, is employed as a Field Correspondent of Intercessors for America. The Algers have three young adult children, two married and one living at home. Pastor Bobby grew up on a farm, the last of six children. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1986 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After college he worked for Shenandoah Manufacturing located in Harrisonburg, VA as a sales representative. During that time he started attending a new church plant, where he met Wanda, and they married in 1988. One year later, he resigned and they both enrolled in Oral Roberts University master’s program. Bobby completed a Master of Divinity in 1992. Upon graduation, Bobby and Wanda move back to Virginia, where he began pastoring in his hometown. After six years, God called them to plant a local church in Winchester.

Upon arriving in Winchester, Bobby helped to champion pastors in the area coming together for mutual encouragement and prayer. He stays active not only leading his church but connecting to the community through Pray Winchester and, more recently, attending the Northern Shenandoah Valley Substance Abuse Coalition. He serves on the leadership team of Kingdom Link, a Christian business mentoring group. He has a heart to see community transformation come to Winchester in all sectors of society.
