Amy Tomblin grew up in Cross Lanes, WV, near Charleston. She was lead to Christ at Vacation Bible School at the age of 10. Throughout her childhood and college, Amy always had a wonderful church body that loved her and provided her with leadership opportunities to follow her passion of sharing God’s love with children. Amy moved to Shepherdstown, WV in 2001 and graduated from Shepherd University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science. After graduating from college, she spent four years working as the Program Director for an assisted living and adult daycare. Although she loved working with seniors, she knew that God was calling her to work with young children.
Amy has been the Director of EKC since 2015. Her heart and passion is to share God’s love with families through providing quality care and education for young children in a caring and supportive environment for parents and staff. Amy has been married to Chris, who is a machinist, since the fall of 2007. They have two boys, Blaize and Jace. Blaize is a book-loving, machine-inventing, information-absorbing Cub Scout. Jace is a soccer-playing superhero that loves swimming, crime-fighting, and grand adventures. They are also parents to one crazy lab rescue named Carlee May. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, sewing, watching WV football games, taking drives in the mountain of WV, and coffee.
